--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY UPDATE 2004 #5-3 (issued 10-Jun, 21:40 UT) --------------------------------------------- Finite source has exited caustic Dear Colleagues, PLANET data collected on OGLE 2004-BLG-254 at the 1.0 m telescope at Sutherland (South Africa) reveal a change in slope of the lightcurve on Jun-10 at around 21:00 UT that probably corresponds to the source exiting the caustic created by the lens star. Together with previously collected data we find that the caustic transit of the source lasted about 26 hours. Event: OGLE 2004-BLG-254 RA (J2000): 17:56:36.20 Dec (J2000): -32:33:01.8 For more information (e.g. plots), please consult: PLANET: http://planet.iap.fr/currentevents.html OGLE: http://www.astrouw.edu.pl/~ftp/ogle/ogle3/ews/2004/blg-159.html MicroFUN: http://www.astronomy.ohio-state.edu/~microfun/Data/OB04254/ -------------- On behalf of the PLANET collaboration, Keith Horne. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% If you prefer not to receive further PLANET Anomaly Alerts, please send an e-mail to planet@iap.fr.
