--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY UPDATE 2005 #0-9 (issued 13-Jun, 11:10 UT) --------------------------------------------- Final caustic exit passed Dear Colleagues, PLANET data taken on event OGLE 2005-BLG-018 with the Canopus 1.0m near Hobart between HJD=2453534.003 (12-Jun, 12:04 UT) and HJD=2453534.217 (12-Jun, 17:12 UT) confirm the smaller absolute slope indicated by earlier MicroFUN data collected at the CTIO 1.3m between HJD=2453533.616 (12-Jun, 2:47 UT) and HJD=2453533.6325 (12-Jan, 3:11 UT) in agreement with our models. With data from the Canopus 1.0m until HJD=2453531.289 (9-Jun, 18:57 UT) showing the second caustic passage still being in progress, the caustic exit likely occured between HJD=2453531.90 (10-Jun, 9:30 UT) and HJD=2453532.00 (10-Jun, 12:00 UT). Our models predict that the event will now decrease monotonically until reaching baseline. No further rise is expected. Event: OGLE 2005-BLG-018 RA (J2000): 17:51:23.53 Dec (J2000): -29:39:27.8 The baseline I magnitude reported by the OGLE team is 15.448.
