--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY ALERT 2006 #1 (issued 30-Apr, 9:00 UT) --------------------------------------------- Start of 2006 Season Dear Colleagues, tomorrow (1-May), PLANET will start into the 2006 observing season. As in the previous season, we will provide the astronomical community with frequently updated light curve plots and data tables as well as further information about detected or suspected anomalies in the form of PLANET Anomaly Alerts and Updates and documentation on our web page. It is our policy to circulate PLANET Anomaly Alerts and Updates to anyone who requests to be added to our mailing list. For the 2006 season, we aim to concentrate on providing high-quality photometry. All data collected by PLANET and RoboNet forms part of the PLANET/RoboNet campaign and is considered to be common intellectual property. PLANET crucially relies on the microlensing alerts issued by the OGLE and MOA surveys and we also appreciate being informed by microFUN about recent developments on spectacular events.
