--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY ALERT 2006 #12 (issued 4-Aug, 15:15 UT) --------------------------------------------- Caustic exit in OGLE 2006-BLG-435 = MOA 2006-BLG-126 Dear Colleagues, A sequence of four data points collected by PLANET with the Canopus 1.0m (near Hobart, Tasmania) after HJD=2453951.95 show that the source limb exited the caustic at HJD=2453951.903 (4-Aug, 9:41 UT) very quickly. The time of source radius crossing is lower than 15 min according to our fit. The rise toward the caustic exit was nicely covered by our colleagues of MOA and OGLE, and our observations were only possible thanks to their alerts. Further observations are encouraged. A light curve plot as well as data are available on our webpages. Event: OGLE 2006-BLG-435 RA (J2000): 18:01:21.33 Dec (J2000): -30:19:25.2 The uncalibrated baseline I magnitude reported by the OGLE team is 17.051.
