--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY ALERT 2006 #5 (issued 17-Jun, 8:35 UT) --------------------------------------------- OGLE 2006-BLG-304 near end of fold-caustic exit Dear Colleagues, data collected by PLANET during the recent night at the SAAO 1.0m (Sutherland, South Africa) showed a rise that was consistent with the approach to a fold- caustic exit. Further data collected at the Danish 1.54m at ESO LaSilla (Chile) confirmed this by showing an even steeper rise. In the meantime, the OGLE team also reported this rise and issued an alert, stating that the caustic exit peak had about been reached. Most recent Danish data cover the caustic exit peak and show that the event is now falling steeply and is very close to the end of the caustic exit. A light curve plot as well as data is available on our webpages. Event: OGLE 2006-BLG-304 (identical to OGLE 2006-BLG-307) RA (J2000): 17:56:43.09 Dec (J2000): -30:24:14.7 The baseline I magnitude reported by the OGLE team is 18.517 +/ 0.002.
