--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY ALERT 2007 #2 (issued 5-July, 19:00 UT) --------------------------------------------- MOA 2007-BLG-197: sudden rise and fall Dear Colleagues, after observations by MOA and by PLANET with the Danish 1.54m at ESO LaSilla and the SAAO 1.0m showed event MOA 2007-BLG-197 slowly rising above the predicted ordinary light curve for about a week, recent PLANET data collected with the Canopus 1.0m near Hobart (Tasmania) reveal a sudden rise and fall, whose shape is compatible with a caustic exit, near the end and still in progress. First SAAO data from this night appear to agree with this. Light curve and data are available on our webpages. Event: MOA 2007-BLG-197 RA (J2000): 18:07:04.729 Dec (J2000): -31:56:46.77 The baseline I magnitude reported by the MOA team is 19.32.
