OGLE 2005-BLG-071: Planetary deviation producing double-peaked light curve

First posted 24-May-2005

Model light curve for the event OGLE 2005-BLG-071 that involves a lens surrounded by a jovian planet, with data collected by all microlensing teams that have participated in the observations. The lower inset shows the caustic created by the gravitational field of the lens star and the planet along with the source trajectory. The source has been approximated as a point-like object.
